Marinated Tofu Chicken
Ingredients and Instructions
2 # Extra Firm Regular Tofu: Drained and pressed. Slice into cubes or steaks. Marinate several hours.
Marinade
- 1 1/2 C water
- 1/4 C soy sauce
- 1/4 C nutritional yeast
- 1 T sage
- 1 t rosemary
- 1 t thyme
- 1 t onion powder
- 1/2 t marjoram
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 t pepper
- Bake 350 degrees, single layor in pan with marinade 45 minutes.
- Flip over and bake 15 minutes more.
- Serve right away, or great chilled.
Tips / Options / Notes
For even meatier texture, Freeze tofu first., then drain, squeeze gently before marinating
Or do a dry fry first, to remove even more liquid
Great in just about any recipe calling for chicken or tofu as the meat.
Great in Sandwiches too!
